Terms & Conditions

By downloading, installing, or using the Mingle Meetup IRL app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Mingle Meetup IRL (the "app") and this website are operated by Mingle Labs Ltd. ("we", "us"), a company registered in Ireland. If you have any questions about these terms, contact us at hello@mingle.ie.

To use the app you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally permitted to use the app in your country of residence.
• Not have been previously banned from the app.

By using the app you confirm that you meet these requirements. We may ask you to verify your age at any time and may suspend your account if we have reason to believe you are under 18.

You create your account by signing in with a supported social login. The app does not use its own passwords, so the security of your account depends on the social account you sign in with. Keep that account secure and keep your profile details accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may only create one account, and you must not create an account on behalf of someone else.

If you believe your account - or the account you use to sign in - has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@mingle.ie.

Mingle Meetup IRL is an app for meeting people through shared activities. You agree to use it honestly and respectfully. You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or impersonating information on your profile.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate other users.
• Send unsolicited commercial messages or spam.
• Post or share explicit, pornographic, or violent content.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose.
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the app or website.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the app.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the app or other users' accounts.
• Share another person's private information without their consent.

You must also comply with our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. Breaching the Community Guidelines is a breach of these terms, and may result in the removal of content or the suspension or permanent termination of your account.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, without notice.

You retain ownership of the content you post on the app - your photos, bio, and messages. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and deliver that content to other users as part of providing the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that infringes anyone else's intellectual property rights, is defamatory, or violates any law.

We take safety seriously, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of every user on the app. You are responsible for exercising your own judgement when meeting people you have connected with through the app.

We do not conduct criminal background checks on our users, and we do not verify that members are who they say they are. Connecting with, and meeting, other people through the app is done at your own risk.

We strongly recommend that you:

• Meet in public places for first meetings.
• Tell a friend or family member where you are going.
• Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, leave.

If you experience threatening or abusive behaviour from another user, please report it in the app or contact us at hello@mingle.ie.

The app lets you discover, create, and join events and meetups with other users. These events are organised by users, not by us. We do not host, supervise, attend, or control them, and we are not responsible for what happens at them.

If you create an event, you are responsible for it and for the people you invite. If you attend an event, you do so at your own risk. Use the same judgement and safety precautions you would for meeting any new person, and follow the guidance above.

The app lets users create, manage, and join clubs - communities built around a shared interest or activity. Clubs are created and managed by their organisers (a club's admins), not by us. We provide the app; we do not organise, host, supervise, vet, or control clubs, their membership, or any activities, meetups, or events a club arranges.

If you run or help administer a club, you are responsible for it - for its members, the content posted within it, and any activities it organises, including any permissions, insurance, and legal or safety requirements those activities involve. If you join a club or take part in a club activity, you do so at your own risk. Some activities carry inherent risk - for example hiking, sports, water-based, or travel activities - and you are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable and safe for you. Use the same judgement and safety precautions set out above.

Club organisers are independent of Mingle Labs Ltd. They are not our employees, agents, or representatives, and they do not act on our behalf. Even where we feature, promote, or partner with a club, that club and its organisers remain independent and responsible for their own club and activities - featuring or partnering with a club is not an endorsement of it and does not make us responsible for it.

Clubs and their organisers must comply with these terms and our Community Guidelines. We may remove a club, remove content, or remove or replace a club's admins where we consider it necessary - including where a club or its organisers breach these terms, or where we are required to do so by law.

The app is free to download and use. We also offer an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional features. You are never required to pay to use the core service.

Premium subscriptions are sold and billed through the app store you downloaded the app from - the Apple App Store or Google Play - and are subject to that store's payment terms. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your app store account settings.

Prices may change; where we make a change we will give notice as required by law. Refunds are handled by the relevant app store under its refund policy. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, subject to the conditions that apply to digital services.

All content on the Mingle Meetup IRL website and app that is not user-generated - including the Mingle Meetup IRL and Mingle names, logo, design, and code - is owned by Mingle Labs Ltd. and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written permission.

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee that you will meet anyone through the app or that any interactions will lead to any particular outcome.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under Irish or EU consumer protection law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app - including loss of data, loss of opportunity, or harm arising from interactions with other users.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app - see our account deletion guide for step-by-step instructions. On deletion, your profile and personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we decide to discontinue the service. Where possible we will give you reasonable notice.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Assignment. You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these terms - for example, as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets - without restriction.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, make up the entire agreement between you and Mingle Labs Ltd. regarding your use of the app, and replace any prior agreements or understandings.
