What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to recognise your device, remember your settings, or track you as you move between sites. They are widely used to power logins, analytics, and advertising.

We do not use cookies

Mingle Meetup IRL does not use cookies on this website or in the app. No information is stored in your browser via cookies, and no cookie consent banner is required.

This page explains how we handle data on this website, and what the app stores on your device.

Consent and EU law

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, a website only needs your consent before storing non-essential cookies on your device. Because we set no cookies at all, there is nothing to consent to - which is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

You can still block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect how this website works, since we do not set any.

Local storage

Cookies and local storage are different technologies. Cookies are sent to our servers with every request; local storage stays on your device only and is never transmitted.

This website does not store anything in your browser's local storage. We keep no preferences, identifiers, or other data on your device when you browse here.

Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. The data it collects - page views, referrers, and general device information - is fully anonymous and aggregated.

The Mingle Meetup IRL app

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. Any data stored locally on your device by the app is limited to what is necessary for the app to function, such as keeping you logged in between sessions.

Third-party cookies

We do not use any third-party advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social media embeds on this website. No third party places cookies on your device through this website.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before placing them. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
