Delete Your Account

You can delete your Mingle Meetup IRL account at any time, directly from the app. Deleting your account is permanent and removes your profile and all of the content. Choose your mobile type below for step-by-step instructions, or scroll down to learn what happens to your data.

Deleting your profile

Follow the steps for your device below. Deleting your profile permanently removes your account from Mingle Meetup IRL.

Android

  1. Open the Mingle Meetup IRL app and navigate to your profile.
  2. Tap the Settings ⚙️ icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. When prompted, choose "Yes, I want to delete".
  6. If you administer any clubs, you will be asked to step down.
  7. If you are marked as attending on any events, you will be asked to cancel your attendance.
  8. Give us some brief feedback.
  9. Tap Delete Account to confirm.

iOS

  1. Open the Mingle Meetup IRL app and navigate to your profile.
  2. Tap the Settings ⚙️ icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. When prompted, choose "Yes, I want to delete".
  6. If you administer any clubs, you will be asked to step down.
  7. If you are marked as attending on any events, you will be asked to cancel your attendance.
  8. Give us some brief feedback.
  9. Tap Delete Account to confirm.

Important: When you delete your account, your personal information is removed from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you have an active subscription, deleting your profile does not automatically cancel it. You will need to manage that through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

Can I recover a deleted profile?

Yes, within 30 days. When you delete your account it enters a 30-day grace period. During this time you can recover it by simply logging back in with your previous details. Your profile and messages will be restored exactly as they were.

After the 30-day grace period ends, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted and can no longer be recovered. You can still create a new profile using the same details, but your previous profile and associated data will not be restored.

Removing the app from your device

Below are the steps to remove the Mingle Meetup IRL app from your device. Removing the app does not delete your profile. If you want your profile deleted, follow the steps above first.

Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Find and select Mingle.
  4. Tap Uninstall.

iOS

  1. From the Home Screen, tap and hold the Mingle app.
  2. Tap Remove App.
  3. Tap Delete App to confirm.

Inactive account deletion

In line with our Privacy Policy, Mingle Meetup IRL accounts with no login activity for two years are automatically deleted. Unfortunately we're unable to reinstate deleted accounts, but you're welcome to create a new account using your previous account details.
