Join us in mid-November as we dive into Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, one of the most influential and enduring novels in literary history. First published in 1818, this Gothic classic tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist whose ambitious experiments lead him to create life - with consequences he could never have imagined. As his creation struggles to find acceptance in a world that fears and rejects him, the novel explores profound questions about humanity, loneliness, responsibility, and what it truly means to be a monster. Dark, thought-provoking and surprisingly moving, Frankenstein is much more than a tale of horror. It challenges us to consider the ethics of scientific discovery, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and our responsibility towards the lives we bring into the world. More than two centuries after its publication, Mary Shelley’s masterpiece remains as relevant as ever. New members are always welcome, whether you finish the book or not!
