About this club

A social group for Redditors in Dublin who want to get out and make new friends! Regular events around Dublin where the only thing everyone has in common is that they want to meet new people! What we’ll do: Most events will take place in Dublin. Walks, drinks, cinema, board games, pub quizzes! Come on your own! Most people who join these events come by themselves, so don’t be afraid to turn up alone! All new joiners get introduced to other new joiners and to existing members, so nobody is left standing on their own! Feel free to invite your friends too! The rules 💀 1. Be sound! 2. Everyone is over 18! 3. It’s not a place for dating or hookups! 4. If you ruin the buzz you’re banned! Everyone is welcome. Events get posted here with a date, a place and a cap on numbers. Tap going, turn up, have fun! If you can’t attend an event then please mark yourself as not going! Looking forward to seeing you at the next event! PS: We also have a WhatsApp community which we use to stay in contact between events. Reach out if you are interested!

Dublin Redditors IRL Book Club
Sat 14 Nov · 3:00 pm
Street 66, Dublin
Join us in mid-November as we dive into Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, one of the most influential and enduring novels in literary history. First published in 1818, this Gothic classic tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist whose ambitious experiments lead him to create life - with consequences he could never have imagined. As his creation struggles to find acceptance in a world that fears and rejects him, the novel explores profound questions about humanity, loneliness, responsibility, and what it truly means to be a monster. Dark, thought-provoking and surprisingly moving, Frankenstein is much more than a tale of horror. It challenges us to consider the ethics of scientific discovery, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and our responsibility towards the lives we bring into the world. More than two centuries after its publication, Mary Shelley’s masterpiece remains as relevant as ever. New members are always welcome, whether you finish the book or not! The exact date and venue are to be confirmed, so keep an eye on this page for updates. Grab a copy, get reading, and join us for a lively discussion about one of literature’s most iconic stories. ⚡📚
